The Tutor Group System at The Chantry School
At The Chantry School, every pupil is part of a tutor group led by a form tutor who provides daily guidance, care, and support. The tutor plays a central role in each pupil’s school life and serves as the first point of contact for parents and carers, helping to ensure that communication between home and school is clear, consistent, and supportive.
At The Chantry School, we have 6 tutor groups in each year: Ankerdine, Bredon, Cotstwold, Kinver, Malvern and Woodbury. Our Tutor Groups have been named after local hills from the surrounding areas and counties near us.

Respect, Responsibility and Resilience
Each day begins with tutor time, providing a purposeful and calm start focused on readiness for learning, confidence building, and the development of character and communication skills, all underpinned by The Chantry values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.
Where possible, tutors remain with their tutor group throughout their years at The Chantry, fostering strong relationships, continuity, and a genuine sense of belonging within our school community.
