Attendance

At The Chantry School, we believe that excellent attendance is essential for pupils to achieve their full potential. Every lesson counts, and being in school regularly helps pupils build strong relationships, develop confidence, and make the most of the high-quality learning opportunities available to them.

We have high expectations for all pupils, but we also recognise that families may sometimes need support, and that genuine illness and exceptional circumstances may mean that a pupil is unable to attend. Our aim is always to work in partnership with families so that every pupil feels supported and able to thrive here at The Chantry School.

If families have any concerns around attendance, our Heads of Year are always happy to discuss either in person or over the phone.
We also believe that good attendance should be recognised and celebrated.

Throughout the year, we encourage excellent attendance by recognising pupils in school through enrichment opportunities, quality-first teaching, and regular rewards, both inside the classroom and beyond.
